OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WILL NOT TURN ON

When an electric stove will not ignite, first check if the stove power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the stove power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit, that means another part of the appliance will need to be repaired. The reason for the issue might be the infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner that doesn’t heat won’t do much. An oven does not heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner won’t fire up when an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We know how to fix these common issues in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You want a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the heat is extremely hot, it might be due to a broken thermostat or sensor. Our technicians know how to find the location of the problem and fix it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is that an igniter will glow but doesn’t light. The cause is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or sensor. We can determine if we are able to repair these appliance parts or if we will have to replace the part.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens can have door issues often. The door doesn’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door latch, seal and thermostat to figure out why the door won’t open up and then complete the repair in order to fix the issue.
